About Dr. Schwab

Dr. Elizabeth Schwab PsyD is the founding chair of the MA in Behavioral Economics program and the Program Chair of the Business Psychology Division at The Chicago School.


Her research has focused on financial/consumer decision making (eg. how negative information affects risk perception, the social media effects on Baby Boomers purchase intentions, how much consumers are willing to pay under time pressure and scarcity effects, biases in general), motivation, leadership, self-efficacy, and group dynamics in the workplace, and has examined international laws on domestic violence through the lens of Transnational Feminism (see: Using Transnational Feminist Theory to Expand Domestic Violence Understandings in Transnational Psychology of Women: Expanding International and Intersectional Approaches).

She consults to a wide variety of industries and businesses but more recently has focused on vaccination intention and influences on physician decision making. She has led dozens of workshops with clients and at conferences from International Leadership Association (ILA) and Academy of Management (AOM), to the Pharma Market Research Conference (PMRC) and The Market Research Event (TRME).
